Afterwards we proceeded to Moccas Hill Wood National Nature Reserve with extensive views across the Dore and Wye valleys, particularly from the Bronze Age round barrow. Starting at Keeper's Pond on the flank of Blorenge mountain we descended to the site of the 1820 Hill's Tramroad, then along to Garn Ddyrys forge. Ascending the side of the mountain we returned down another former tramroad back to the start. View pictures on our Flickr site.
