WALKS AND VISITS 2012-13

 
Sunday 9 September 2012: Outing from Cymyoy - leader: Ken Palmer.  We began at the Queen's Head, Cwmyoy and took in Twyn-y-gaer, Cwd Coed-y-Cerrig and Bryn Arw returning via Stanton to the Queen's Head.  It was fairly long and strenuous. Click for pictures.
 
Sunday 14 October 2012: On a beautiful clear sunny day (after a sharp early morning frost) 10 members and 2 dogs travelled by car to Urishay. After inspecting the ruined castle and chapel Gill Broadhead led us through fields, up hills, across streams, ditches, stiles and hedges with amazing 360° views of the wonderful English and Welsh countryside. Sunday 13 January 2013: On a dull winter's day on 13th January 2013 we had a guided tour of the mysterious satellite communications centre at Madley, led by site manager Nick Wood.
 
Sunday 10 February 2013:  Outing cancelled due to inclement weather.
 
Sunday 10 March 2013: Circular Walk to Hay Common and Rook Wood.  Leader: Les Dargue.  
 
Sunday 14 April 2013: Walk postponed due to weather
